From the Winter 1999 issue
December 4th, 1999 dawned cool, but WITHOUT RAIN this year. At 4 p.m.,
eleven people and seven llamas marshaled to take part in the annual Chilliwack Christmas Lights Parade. IT STILL WAS NOT RAINING and all the llamas were decorated with lights, hats (lighted), antlers, bows, wreaths, blankets and fancy packs! We had a wonderful time, and so did all the llamas.

It is always a really good start to the Christmas festivities, and very well attended. In some places people were six deep and cheering all the entrants.
The llama participants were Alpine, Debut, Ivory Mist, Midnight, Pierrot, Pizzaro and Sundancer.
The two-legged participants were Matt and Lorraine Rhoades and their granddaughter Chantal, Jane and Brian Pinkerton, June Steinman, Sherri Sladek, John MonPetit, John Sugden, and Trev & Rose-Ann Lewis sponsored the entry through Amistoso Llamas and provided the inevitable wheelbarrow
and broom details.
