Our 4H club has been in existence since 1994. Each year we learn many things about our projects as well as the personal growth avenues that the 4H program offers. We participate in public speaking, demonstration, and judging competitions along with the other 4H clubs in the Langley 4H District.
We all compete at Showmanship, Obstacles, and Public Relations at the three fairs we enter each year Maple Ridge Fair, Agrifair, and the PNE. Some of us also train animals to compete in Packing and Driving competitions.
For fund raising we have been putting an exhibit in the fairs at Surrey and Agassiz and have been grooming animals at a shearing day in Aldergrove as well as preparing stalls for the West Coast Lama Sweepstakes and clean-up afterwards.
We are grateful to have as our sponsors the Fraser Valley Llama and Alpaca Club and the Otter Co-op. They have helped and supported us in numerous ways with our annual activities.
This year our leaders are:
Al DeJong (604-465-4286)
Bonnie Nicholls (604-534-7124)
Mark DeJong (604-315-3067)
