From Conception to Criation
Is a waiting game.
When will it be born?
What will it be, male or female?
What colour will it be?
As both parents are black and white
Finally two toes stick out
Followed by the front legs
And then a white head
Which moves and wimpers
Suddenly the whole body slithers out!
A white female cria!
A strong large baby of thirty-two pounds!
This was one of my options on ordering!
Now clean the nose, the cria struggles
And dry the long wavy fleece.
Then watch the struggles as
She tries to stand.
Wobbly splayed legs and she’s up!
Then to find mama’s teats
Of couse there’s an audience
Of humans and llamas
to witness the arrival
Of Julia’s Precious Jewel
